Main Street: Resources

McPherson Main Street members in good standing can apply for financial assistance through the following grant and loan programs:

DESIGN GranT Program   [ Guidelines | Application ]
Intended to create or stimulate private investment in the designated McPherson Main Street downtown area. The expected outcome of this program is to create develop or strengthen new or existing businesses; acquire, rehabilitate, or preserve properties; and create a stronger tax base.

ELIGIBILITY:
Only current McPherson Main Street members in good standing will be eligible to apply for the grant funds by submitting application(s) to the McPherson Main Street program.

MATCH REQUIREMENT:
All small project grants will be competitive in nature. There will be a 1:1 match requirement.

ELIGIBLE USE OF FUNDS:
Appropriate paint up/fix up projects on the front façade, back, or sides of buildings based on the Main Street design guidelines.
Paint up/fix up or design, production, and installation of appropriate signage based on the Main Street design guidelines.
Appropriate installation or repair of awnings on front facades. Awnings must meet the Main Street design guidelines.

 

Incentives Without Walls Program  
Intended to create or stimulate private investment in designated Kansas Main Street downtown areas. The expected outcome of this program is to create employment opportunities; save existing jobs; provide services and products; develop or strengthen new or existing businesses; acquire, rehabilitate, or preserve properties; and create a stronger tax base.
