MIDC: Industrial Park


Located just northeast of McPherson, on hard surface roads, the McPherson BPU Industrial Park includes over 100 acres of development-ready flat surface. The lots have been platted in a variety of sizes to accommodate future expansion. A small man-made, attractively-landscaped lake graces the northwest corner of the park. Bridge access and street specifications have been engineered to handle industrial-sized loads.

UTILITIES
Infrastructure including streets, electricity, natural gas, water, and sewer serve nine of the ten lots, and can easily be extended to the tenth lot if necessary. Cost of this infrastructure is included in the price of the land; and no special assessments will be made in the future.

 

TRANSPORTATION
Located on a hard-surface road, less than 2 miles from an I-135 interchange, the industrial park provides easy access to highway transportation in all directions. The largest of the lots is adjacent to the Kansas & Oklahoma Railway with rail-spur construction capabilities. Kansas & Oklahoma Railway has switching agreements with major rail lines providing virtually unlimited rail service.

 

ALTERNATE LOCATIONS
In addition to the McPherson BPU Industrial Park, McPherson Industrial Development Company (MIDC) owns over one hundred acres of land suitable for future industrial development. MIDC, a quasi-governmental agency, has maintained a policy of taking no profit from the sale of land only its investment costs.
