Karr to speak about "The Cycle of Trust" at Last Lecture Series 02/01/10

McPherson Museum and Arts Foundation Last Lecture Series will feature Annete Karr Feb. 22

“The Cycle of Trust”

Where are we in the cycle of trust? Mired in worry? Skeptical of our place in the universe? Annette offers examples of trust in the face of despair.

Annette Karr is a massage therapist and owner of Wellness Plus. As chairperson of the People of Peace in McPherson and Kansas state coordinator of the Peace Alliance, she has lobbied in Washington, D.C. for a cabinet level Department of Peace and connects with people around the country working to promote a more peaceful world.

All lectures will be held on Mondays at 7p.m. at the McPherson Museum. Please call the Museum at 241-8464 or visit the Museum’s website at mcphersonmuseum.com for the dates of upcoming lectures. Admission is $2; free to Museum members.

This series of “Last Lectures” is inspired by the “Last Lecture” of Professor Randy Pausch, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburg, PA, who learned he had terminal pancreatic cancer and decided his last lecture would be of substance and would tell people what he thought most important. Prof. Pausch’s Last Lecture, titled “Achieving Your Childhood Dreams,” can be viewed in its entirety on You-Tube, and has been made into a book.
